What is a LAN Party? A LAN party is an event where people bring their own gaming PC’s and games and hook them up together in a local area network, or a LAN. The LAN enables the computers to connect to each other to play multiplayer games. Nowadays, people also like to bring their gaming consoles like an Xbox 360 and use those for multiplayer gaming as well. So, with KnightLAN, we will have PC gamers and Xbox 360 gamers playing separately.
What to bring: A gaming PC, monitor, power cables, long network cable and your PC games.
AND/OR: Xbox 360, monitor/TV, Xbox 360 games, power cables, long network cable.
We will have these systems hooked up together to play multiplayer games such as: Call of Duty series, Halo series, Borderlands, Left for Dead series, etc. Whatever the majority of gamers have is what we will be playing!
What we will provide: Tables, extension cables for power, network switches to hook up the PCs and Xbox 360s to, Rockband, Wii games, movies.
This is an overnight event so please bring your own food, blankets, and pillows if you plan on staying for the night!
Don’t have a gaming PC or Xbox 360?
We will also have Rockband 2 set up on a projector so people can rock out!
A Wii will also be available on another projector playing: Wii Sports, Smash Bros, Mario Kart, etc.
Later during the event: we will be playing some movies! A large collection of movies will be available!
Space is limited! We will only be able to have about 30 people at once during the event!
